The processor may be configured to receive sensor data from the sensor. The sensor data may include a primary noise and an ambient noise in the environment of the user. The processor may be configured to determine a baseline listening-effort-to-ambient-noise ratio (LEANR) based on the primary noise and the ambient noise in the environment.
