Pericyclic reactions of cyclopentyne

摘要: This dissertation describes the nature of cyclopentyne in pericyclic reactions. A kinetic study of the reaction of 1, 2-dibromocyclopentene with n-BuLi in the presence of different concentrations of spiro (2.4) hepta-4, 6-diene is consistent with the formation of cyclopentyne as the reactive intermediate in cycloaddition reactions with the diene.
