摘要: The anthraquinone profile, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities as well the total phenol flavonoid contents were determined in methanol extracts of barks Rhamnus catharticus L. R. orbiculatus Bornm. most abundant derivatives physcion (67.8%) emodin (26.2%), while contained mostly (81.3%) chrysophanol (14.6%). displayed better activity beta-carotene-linoleic acid assay, chelating activity, whereas its reducing power assay was significantly lower than that orbiculatus. Both showed against all microbial species tested (Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, Microsporum gypseum) with MIC values either equal to or 2.50 mg/mL. several anthranoid aglycones their bark demonstrated notable properties. results obtained indicate medicinal potential these two species.
