摘要: Mark Schlesinger and Brad Gray have summarized research comparing nonprofit for-profit health care in a remarkably useful form. Their paper effectively demonstrates how differ. However, their proposal for community control over organizations exchange tax exemption, like many current proposals requiring hospitals to provide free indigent patients, risks undermining the purpose of they provide. These trade-offs are significant yet not been acknowledged policy debate.
