摘要: Abstract The loss of groundwater through Evapotranspiration (ET) has been reported extensively in the hydrological literature. This ET loss, however, can be lessened by a pumping well that lowers water table within cone depression. paper quantifies amount captured irrigation wells river valleys where induces stream infiltration. Our analyses were based on hypothetical stream–aquifer systems and case study central Platte Valley, Nebraska, supports agricultural development. Interactions groundwater-stream–evapotranspiration simulated using MODFLOW. results suggest capture varies from about 2–9.4% pumpage, number hydrogeologic parameters affect captured. They include depth to table, distance between well, aquifer hydraulic conductivity. Results indicate 11% pumpage 3200-m wide zone across River came capture. Neglecting will likely overestimate rate depletion. On other hand, reducing increase flow storage, as increasing 10% reduced pumpage. A conservation program thus needs consider extra loss.
