摘要: Microspheres of biodegradable polymers were evaluated as a potential controlled-release drug-delivery system in the vitreous. The microspheres prepared with poly(lactic acid) or copolymers glycolic acid and lactic acid. release 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) from was studied vitro. Poly(lactic released 70-85% total 5-FU over 7 days. smaller molecular weight drug more rapidly. Copolymer 98% 2 rate controllable by changing using matrix copolymer. intravitreal kinetics ten rabbits vivo. A suspension injected into vitreous cavity five normal eyes vitrectomized eyes. By 48 +/- 5.2 days after injection, disappeared Clearance accelerated that underwent vitrectomy (14 2.4 days; P less than 0.001). No difference found b waves electroretinograms before injection microspheres. histologic study showed no abnormal findings result injection. These results suggested may be delivery for controlled drugs
