摘要: Previous studies have shown that physical exercise and mindfulness meditation can both lead to improvement in mental health. However, it is unclear whether these two forms of training share the same underlying mechanisms. We compared groups older adults with 10 years (integrative body-mind training, IBMT) or (PE) experience demonstrate their effects on brain, physiology behavior. Healthy were randomly selected from a large community health project measures quality life, autonomic activity (heart rate, heart rate variability, skin conductance response, respiratory amplitude/rate), immune function (secretory Immunoglobulin A, sIgA), stress hormone (cortisol) brain imaging (resting state functional connectivity, structural differences). In comparison PE, we found significantly higher ratings for IBMT group dimensions life quality. Parasympathetic indexed by response high-frequency variability also showed more favorable outcomes group. PE lower basal greater chest amplitude. Basal sIgA level was cortisol concentration Lastly, had stronger connectivity between dorsal anterior cingulate cortex (dACC) striatum at resting state, as well volume gray matter striatum. Our results indicate part different mechanisms, increasing fitness inducing plasticity central nervous systems. These findings suggest combining may achieve better an aging population.
