摘要: Building a global library of DNA barcodes will require efficient logistics pre-laboratory specimen processing and seamless interfacing with molecular protocols. If not addressed properly, the task aggregating specimens may become biggest bottleneck in analytical chain. Three years experience developing collection management system to facilitate high-throughput barcoding have allowed Canadian Centre for Barcoding recognize resolve most common logistical obstacles. Dealing these challenges on larger scale be an important step towards building solid collection-based foundation international effort.
