摘要: Background/Aims: Lithium chloride (LiCl) has long been used as a psychiatric medication; however, its role in the differentiation of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) remains largely unknown. The aim this study is to explore effect LiCl on BMSCs. Methods: roles osteogenic and adipogenic processes were observed using alizarin red staining oil O staining, respectively. effects Wnt Hedgehog (Hh) pathways investigated. Results: Our data showed that effectively promoted osteogenesis inhibited adipogenesis by simultaneously affecting Hh pathways. Conclusion: These results suggest influences BMSCs directly through thus may be candidate drug for treatment osteoporosis.
