摘要: This article provides a methodology to exactly calibrate land‐constrained programming models of agricultural supply against elasticities using generalized constant‐elasticity‐of‐substitution, crop‐specific production functions. We formally derive the necessary and sufficient conditions under which model can replicate reference allocation while displaying crop responses consistent with exogenous information on elasticities. When it exists, solution exact calibration problem is unique. Subject caveat, proposed specification shown be more flexible respect than quadratic that has been used extensively in policy based positive mathematical programming.
