Evaluation of the effects of Neptune Krill Oil on the clinical course of hyperlipidemia.

摘要: OBJECTIVE: To assess the effects of krill oil on blood lipids, specifically total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density (HDL). METHODS: A multi-center, three-month, prospective, randomized study followed by a controlled follow-up patients treated with 1 g 1.5 daily. Patients hyperlipidemia able to maintain healthy diet cholesterol levels between 194 348 mg/dL were eligible for enrollment in trial. sample size 120 (30 patients/group) was randomly assigned one four groups. Group received at body mass index (BMI)-dependent daily dosage 2-3 B given 1-1.5 daily, C fish containing 180 mg eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) docosahexaenoic (DHA) per gram dose 3 D placebo microcrystalline cellulose. The used this Neptune Krill Oil (NKO ‚ ), provided Technologies & Bioresources, Laval, Quebec, Canada. OUTCOME MEASURES: Primary parameters tested (baseline 90-day visit) LDL, HDL, glucose. RESULTS: 1-3 g/day (BMIdependent) found be effective reduction glucose, compared both placebo. CONCLUSIONS:
