摘要: Huge pediatric midline tumors of the posterior fossa involving fourth ventricle and tectal region are challenging difficult to approach. One important postoperative side effect is occurrence cerebellar mutism. During last decades survival rates increased remarkably, not only due technical innovations in surgery but also improved adjuvant therapy options like radiation chemotherapy an interdisciplinary setting. We present our experience with a combined transventricular/telovelar supracerebellar/infratentorial approach total five patients which allows removal huge without vermian splitting thus reducing risk
