摘要: Context Recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) is the most common oral mucosal disease. However, available therapies for RAS only relieve symptoms and do not provide a cure. Aims This study assessed response to treatment with levamisole low-dose prednisolone drug combination in patients RAS. Methods Material Fifty subjects were enrolled single-blind randomized placebo-controlled trial. Study medications administered thrice daily 3 consecutive days/week weeks. Patients Group 1 received placebo, 2 (50 mg) (5 mg). followed up 60 days after treatment. Response was using following clinical parameters: pain due ulcers, number of ulcers/episode, size duration frequency ulcers (episodes/month). Statistical analysis used: Mann–Whitney U-test. Results A statistically significant improvement noted all parameters except treated alone prednisolone. There no placebo group. Both active groups had significantly better when compared group, while there difference between two groups. Conclusions Levamisole are effective modes therapy RAS.
