摘要: The first reporter systems were developed in the early 1980s and based on measuring activity of an enzyme-as a surrogate measure promoter-driven transcriptional activity-which is now known as gene system. initial objective application techniques was to analyze specific promoter (namely, expression that under regulation linked gene). This system allows visualization with great sensitivity. In general, there are 2 classes systems: constitutively expressed (always-on) constructs used for cell tracking, inducible sensitive endogenous signaling molecules transcription factors characterize tissues, tumors, or pathways. This review traces development different systems, using fluorescent bioluminescent proteins well radionuclide-based systems. focus this review. question at end whether "promise" imaging has been realized. What required moving forward what successful translation clinical applications?
