摘要: The management of head and neck tumor (HNSCC) has been changing over the years, especially due to aid imaging techniques that help physicians attain a correct diagnosis. These represent valuable tool tailor treatment during follow-up patients affected by malignancies. aim this review is summarize results most recent relevant studies about use PET in HNSCCs. This divided into six chapters: (1) role PET/CT pre-treatment phase; (2) radiotherapy planning; (3) post-treatment setting; (4) SUVmax for prediction prognosis; (5) miscellanea on utility specific HNSCCs; (6) non-FDG tracers used HNSCC. Promising have obtained so far. Despite encouraging outcomes, more investigations are needed warrant value technique, setting.
