摘要: Abstract The specific molecular detection of the endogenous neuropeptides methionine ([Met]5) enkephalin and neurotensin released in vivo rat brain has been accomplished using microdialysis mass spectrometry. Microdialysis probes were implanted regions used to collect samples from extracellular fluids unanesthetized, freely moving animals. Microelectrospray/tandem spectrometry was achieve molecular-specific identification with a sensitivity amol/μl range. Measurements amounts dialysates obtained studies KCl-stimulated release showed that [Met]5-enkephalin globus pallidus/ventral pallidum region present at level approximately 4–6 fmol/10 μl dialysate hypothalamus 500 amol 10 dialysate. In this manuscript, we first data mass- quantitation individual response either intracerebrally or systemically administered compounds.
