Each is suggested to bring a separate element characteristics and, in some cases, potentially independent underlying mechanisms the construct anxiety. In this chapter, commonly used behavioral correlates human research, including startle reflex, attentional bias, avoidance tasks, as well future tasks using virtual reality technology will be discussed. focus evaluating their translational utility supported (1) convergent validity with other measures traits or disorders, (2) use identifying neural genetic anxiety, (3) ability predict treatment efficacy.
