摘要: Rapid identification of viruses is needed to monitor the blood supply for emerging threats. Here we present a method that meets these criteria and allows shotgun sequencing novel, uncultured DNA directly from human blood. This employs selection based on physical properties combined with sequence-independent amplification cloning. We show both single- double-stranded can be recovered samples using this approach. In addition, report discovery novel anellovirus sequences in healthy donors. PCR primers designed amplify were then used verify presence general donor population.
