摘要: Background. Current noninvasive evaluation techniques of thyroid nodules are nonspecific. We studied the use a new imaging modality, positron emission tomography (PET), in nodules, Methods. Nineteen patients were before operation with PET [ 18 F]-2-deoxy-2-fluoroD-glucose/FDG). Twelve had solitary and seven multinodular goiters. Fourteen overlapping transverse slices acquired through gland. A region interest was drawn around abnormal area maximum pixel value calculated corrected to produce normalized for FDG uptake
