摘要: Preoperative anemia is relatively common in patients undergoing primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA), and associated with higher medical costs due to blood transfusions. We aimed discuss the efficiency of tranexamic acid (TXA) administration for loss control preoperatively anemic TKA. retrospectively reviewed clinical data regarding a consecutive series unilateral TKA preoperative anemia. Patients were divided into TXA group (received peri-operatively) (did not receive TXA). Outcome measures included drainage volume; hemoglobin, hematocrit levels recorded over first 5 days postoperatively; amount allogeneic transfusion; prevalence thrombosis. Ninety-six from 996 cases study. Demographics, general health condition, conditions comparable between two groups. However, significantly lower volume (P < 0.001), hidden transfusion (χ = 4.00, P = 0.046) noted group. The hemoglobin on postoperative day (P = 0.006), but overall drop postoperatively was similar groups (P = 0.763), as incidence thromboembolism events (P = 0.794). has positive role arthroplasty. In mild anemia, decreases need transfusion, which mainly appears effective
