摘要: AIM: To investigate the postoperative transfusion and complication rates of anemic nonanemic total joint arthroplasty patients given tranexamic acid (TXA). METHODS: A cross-sectional prospective study was conducted primary hip knee cases performed from 11/2012 to 6/2014. Exclusion criteria included revision arthroplasty, bilateral acute after fracture, contraindication TXA. Patients were screened prior surgery, with anemia defined as hemoglobin less than 12 g/dL for females 13 males. divided into four different groups, based on type (total or knee) status (anemic nonanemic). Intraoperatively, all received 2 g intravenous TXA during surgery. Postoperatively, allogeneic blood (ABT) directed by both clinical symptoms relative change. Complications recorded within first two weeks surgery thromboembolism, infection, wound breakdown. The differences in rates, well change, compared between groups. RESULTS: 232 undergoing study. For cohort, 21% (18/84) presented preoperative anemia. Two group needed ABTs; this not significantly (P = 0.20). One patient a deep venous thromboembolism while no had an complication; 0.21). patients, average change 2.73 ± 1.17 g/dL. 2.28 0.96 Between difference 0.45 significant 0.13). 18% (26/148) No either required complication. 1.85 0.79 1.09 0.58 0.76 < 0.001). CONCLUSION: administration results low may be useful adjunct TJA
