摘要: The weathering products present in igneous terrestrial Antarctic samples were analyzed, and compared with those found the four Miller Range nakhlite Martian meteorites. aim of these comparisons was to determine which alteration phases nakhlites are produced by weathering, what effect rock composition has on phases. MIL 05031 EET 96400, along 03346 090032, contain secondary assemblages at their externally exposed surfaces. Despite difference primary mineralogy, rocks consist mostly sulfates (jarosite 05031, jarosite gypsum 96400) iddingsite-like Fe-clay. As neither contains sulfur-bearing minerals, minerals rare nakhlites, it appears that SO42−, possibly some Na+, K+, Ca+ phases, sourced from wind-blown sea spray biogenic emissions southern ocean. Cl enrichment terrestrially derived “iddingsite” 03346, presence halite exterior edge can also be explained this process. However, within around olivine-bound melt inclusions 090136 is interior meteorite and, therefore, probably product preterrestrial Mars.
