摘要: Rising rates of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection among adolescents and young adults underscore the importance interventions for this population. While morbidity mortality HIV has greatly decreased over years, maintaining high adherence is necessary to receive optimal medication effects. Few studies have developed none specifically been sexual minority (lesbian, gay, bisexual; LGB) youth. Guided by an evidence-based adult intervention adolescent qualitative interviews, we a multicomponent, technology-enhanced, customizable use in clinical setting. The two cases presented paper illustrate five-session positive strategies enhance problem solving (Positive STEPS) intervention, based on cognitive-behavioral techniques motivational interviewing. We present perinatally infected heterosexual woman behaviorally gay man demonstrate unique challenges faced these youth showcase how can be customized. Future directions include varying number sessions mode incorporating booster sessions.
