摘要: The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect cassava cultivation under different management practices on soil microbial biomass, its activity and derived indexes. field experiment carried out in Gloria de Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil, a sandy (Oxisol), conventional drilling, no-tillage system Estilozobium pruriens, Sorghum bicolor Pennisetum glaucum mulching, compared native vegetation system. Evaluations were done May/2003, June/2003, November/2003, April/2004 November/2004. Soil microbiota directly influenced by presence or absence vegetable residues, indicating that use covering plants favors improvement quality, representing promising alternative for better cultivation.
