摘要: A guided wave is induced along a conductive logging cable or water-filled borehole during radar (BHR) surveying. Such normally considered as unwanted interference to normal BHR waves and needs be suppressed, either through designs data processing. In this letter, we advocate that the can coupled onto drill string, which act forward-looking antenna for imaging ahead of bit while drilling. Using collected by monostatic with different configurations at an abandoned mine site in Brukunga, South Australia, demonstrate capability about 2–6 m tested section.
