摘要: In the state of practice, traffic operators require real time information inorder toanalyze and make decision to choose suitable operation plan that could mobilize saferand with less travel delay. Conventional point detection system is widely used measure trafficparameters, namely volume, speed, occupancy. These key parameters are analyzetraffic condition on interested segment or entire road network. Penetration detector stations isdirectly correlated accuracy estimated link speed because amount quality data inthe calculation. This paper aimed evaluate some simple methods for estimating onexpressway low density stations. Data from Expressway in Tokyo, Japan, were used.The results study demonstrated able represent speedduring uncongested but unable during congestion long links.
