摘要: Abstract In Mycobacterium marinum, carotenoid synthesis can be induced either with light or antimycin A. The major polyene (90%) synthesized is β-carotene. However, when the cells are incubated in presence of nicotine (5 mM), lycopene accumulates rather than On removal, accumulated converted to These results, therefore, show that (a) acts by inhibiting cyclization step, and (b) cyclized this organism.
