摘要: Abstract Hetastarch, 6% hydroxyethyl starch solution, is an artificial colloid proposed for use as a volume expander. There concern that hetastarch, like dextran, may adversely affect coagulation. To compare the effects of hetastarch with 5% albumin in postoperative patients, 60 consecutive patients who underwent coronary artery bypass were prospectively randomized into two study groups. Both groups comparable all respects preoperatively. Group 1 (27 patients) received mean 1,241 ml and 2 (33 1,210 replacement within first 24 hours. Indices hepatic, renal, pulmonary function did not differ significantly between immediately postoperatively, at hours or 7 days postoperatively. Hematocrits, platelet counts, prothrombin times, partial thromboplastin serum fibrinogen levels times. The chest tube drainage (Group 1, 495 ± 216 ml; 2, 637 402 significant), no patient required reexploration bleeding. Eighteen percent 15% banked blood during their hospitalization similar amounts 0.37 unit per patient; 0.36 significant). expander after myocardial revascularization safe effective, results substantial financial savings.
