摘要: Several studies have reported association between noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and GC, the vitamin D binding protein of human plasma, with GC 1 allele in significant excess among diabetics. Additionally, there is a considerable body animal data suggesting that has impact on insulin secretion. Examination levels Dogrib Indians showed lowest fasting were associated IF-IF genotype. The present study examined glucose, C-peptide, at hr 2 following 75 g oral glucose challenge, population Hispanic-Americans Anglos San Luis Valley southern Colorado. sample comprised total 468 individuals normal tolerance. Of these, 289 179 Hispanic-Americans. An analysis covariance was performed to determine effect genotypes mean primary variables--glucose, insulin--and secondary variable--insulinogenic index adjusting for covariates age, mass (BMI), gender, ethnicity. analyses revealed difference (F value = 2.46; P 0.033) sample. differences postprandial although not 5% level, 10% level. No other phenotypic effects observed. These are concordance results an earlier study, where lower 1F-1F
