摘要: The impact of cirrus cloud on Laminar Flow Control (LFC) has been reviewed. Analysis previously published work allowed for reducing the problem to one how particles, dispersed in free stream, can deteriorate laminar flow general. Motivation reinvestigating matter was found existing discrepancy between limited available information and need a more detailed understanding subject, which is required taking full advantage technologies their secure operation. Furthermore, there exists renewed interest applications by both manufacturers airlines order cope with promised efficiencies increasing fuel costs. Preliminary experimental reproduced effect laboratory environment yielded results that compare well earlier theoretical analysis. double pitot technique proven provide meaningful answers. For future work, use modern visualization techniques deemed be necessary requirement widening picture effectively elementary phenomena. Within supporting Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) study, good agreement analytical criteria regarding particle trajectories water droplet impingement data.
