摘要: Lying at western corner of the Kathmandu city, Swoyambhu hillock (1403.76m) represents a surviving pristine forest in metropolitan capital Nepal. Once an extension Jamaca (2096m) with luxuriant sub-tropical is now invaded by dense human population and other developmental activities. This still rich total plant species 319. Of them, 65 are trees, 43 shrubs, 194 herbs 17 climbers. Northern slope tree scattered patches under-growing bushes ferns, whereas southern, eastern slopes much disturbed exotic plants, creating challenges to norms heritage standard. Domination Pinus roxburghii (chire pine) Eucalyptus, Jacaranda Callistemon, etc altering indigenous nature hillock. And also forested has been randomly utilized for refreshment, yoga, ayurbedic remedy food. Due growing constructions exploitations, facing threat maintain its ecosystem.
