摘要: The differential expression of hundreds tightly, transcriptionally controlled genes in isolated human colorectal cancer and respective normal mucosa from two patients was analyzed by the cDNA macroarray technique, mRNA prepared tumors compared with 588 spotted onto filter. Case A showed down-regulation cell-cycle-related including cyclins, cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 2, CDK-activating kinase, as same patient. up-regulation angiogenesis-related such type II cytoskeletal 8 keratin, metalloproteinase subtypes, VEGF, bFGF, to over 5-fold levels mucosa. Thus, carcinoma tissues are characterized upregulation molecules related angiogenesis. These results suggest that suitable candidates for target-based therapies patients. In case B, largest difference between tumor mucosal observed MMP-I gene. contrast first case, there no increase or decrease cell-cycle-regulatory molecules. profile quite different these This approach may eventually provide a mean selecting drugs individual colon
