摘要: The methylation state of DNA can be transferred from generation to cells, qualifying this gene-regulatory event as epigenetic. In his Perspective, Baylin discusses the new link between replication and methylation, demonstrated in week's issue, speculates that linkage is disrupted tumor cells.
