A review of autoimmune skin diseases in domestic animals: I – Superficial pemphigus

摘要: In humans, the pemphigus denomination encompasses a group of autoimmune blistering skin diseases with intraepidermal separation resulting from cell–cell detachment by acantholysis. Entities are classified based on level in epidermis, and both superficial (pemphigus foliaceus, IgA pemphigus) deep vulgaris, vegetans paraneoplastic variants recognized. domestic animals, subsets have been recognized since mid-1970s, disease classification resembles that used for human patients. This article reviews up-to-date knowledge epidemiology, clinical signs, histopathology, immunopathology treatment outcome animals. Detailed information canine, feline, equine caprine canine feline erythematosus panepidermal pustular is provided.
