摘要: This study explored whether traditional and nontraditional students who transferred from 2-year to 4-year institutions experienced differences in transfer shock, academic integration, social integration. A substantial body of research comparing native on shock exists, while only a few qualitative studies have focused how experience integration at the institution. Further, major examining student behavior place all into single category by one thing they share commona transition experience. Due increasing numbers diversity it is important examine their unique characteristics influence subsequent new environment. The sample for this was taken Beginning Postsecondary Students Longitudinal Study (BPS: 04/09). large, nationally representative dataset filtered include institutions, creating much smaller students. main independent variable analyses age. For were defined as those less than 24 years age, or older. Linear regression used level following transfer. findings suggest that there no relationship between age experiences. Further necessary determine absence truly exists small size analysis influenced outcome.
