摘要: Object The diagnostic usefulness of 11C-methionine PET scans in gliomas is still controversial. authors investigated the clinical significance findings preoperative diagnosis histological type and grade. Methods tissue uptake was assessed using 70 patients with histologically confirmed intracerebral gliomas. ratio maximum standard values tumor areas to mean contralateral normal brain (tumor/normal [T/N] ratio) calculated correlated type, grade, contrast enhancement on MR imaging, Ki 67 labeling index, 1p/19q status. Results T/N significantly increased as grade advanced astrocytic tumors (WHO Grade II vs III, p = 0.0011; III IV, 0.0007).
