摘要: Objective To evaluate the rate of recovery spermatozoa from epididymis using a percutaneous aspiration technique and to assess fertilization following intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Patients methods Forty-two patients with azoospermia underwent total 46 treatment cycles in vitro (IVF) ICSI. The used for ICSI was retrieved percutaneously by fine-needle syringe suction (percutaneous epididymal aspiration, PESA) 28 (mean age 34.9 years), over 32 cycles. Six microsurgical (MESA) remaining eight patients, neither nor MESA yielded suitable extracted testicular biopsy were used. Results A 362 oocytes collected those, 286 (79%) subjected Of injected oocytes, 49 (17.2%) damaged, 138 (48.3%) achieved normal and, 112 (81.2%) cleaved. 67 embryos transferred 18 more cryopreservation. 25 embryo transfer, resulted pregnancy these, one miscarried. 25% per cycle 32% transfer. implantation 12%. Conclusions This extensive series PESA/ICSI indicates that PESA can be successfully retrieve azoospermia. is simple, cost-effective associated fewer complications compared an open procedure.
