摘要: Abstract Three-phase hydrogenation of mixtures styrene and 1-octene in toluene was carried out a monolithic reactor. A cordierite monolith with an alumina washcoat, impregnated Pd, used as catalyst. Operating conditions were the range 43–80 °C 0.5–1.5 MPa. The linear velocities liquid-gas ratio varied 0.05–0.45 m/s 1:1–6:1 m 3 /m , respectively. Styrene preferably hydrogenated to ethylbenzene, while major part initial quantity isomerized internal olefins. Formation alkylcyclohexanes negligible under all process used. observed rates for high compared values listed literature. Results indicated that external mass transfer rate limiting step. Furthermore, incomplete or non-uniform wetting may have been conversion, especially at low liquid loadings. experiments prove reactor is attractive alternative conventional three-phase reactors.
