摘要: The development and maintenance of the vertebrate nervous system depends upon neuronal survival proteins known as neurotrophic factors. Nerve growth factor (NGF) remains best characterized molecule. Brain-derived (BDNF) neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) are two recently cloned factors that homologous to NGF. Here we describe molecular cloning human rat genes encoding BDNF, well isolation NT-3 gene. On basis comparison our genomic cDNA clones with those previously isolated BDNF cDNAs, make inferences about structures processed transcripts derived from neurotrophin protein precursors they encode. We demonstrate mature form is identical in all mammals examined, same true NT-3. Furthermore, respective tissue-distributions specificities also conserved among mammals. Finally, localize gene (gene symbol designated BDNF) chromosome 11, band p13, NTF3) 12, p13.
