摘要: Geoconservation aims to maintain the diversity of geological, geomorphological and soil features, systems processes. As with biodiversity, more vulnerable aspects geodiversity will not be preserved on multiple-use land tenures unless they are specifically managed for. The successful management requires existence databases indicating types, conditions vulnerability features assemblages present, a procedure for identifying geoconservation significance arriving at appropriate prescriptions those which disturbance. These requirements an early stage development compared biodiversity management, but in Tasmania subject ongoing projects within both Forestry Tasmanian Parks Wildlife Service.
