Characterization and Valuation of Paleontological Heritage: A Perspective from Argentina

摘要: Argentina has a rich and diverse paleontological heritage, with fossil sites pertaining to every epoch from the Cambrian Holocene. In recent years, National Law 25.743/2003 been more useful achieve basic level of planning protection for many Argentina’s important sites. this article, methodology is proposed assessing heritage values in order justify their inclusion into national regional territory planning, an outstanding guarantee adverse effects developments. Building knowledge understanding landscapes resources, developing assessment criteria are essential influencing land policy, as well increasing public awareness appreciation heritage.
