摘要: Abstract The objective of the present study was to determine dimension mucosal-implant attachment at sites with insufficient width ridge mucosa. 5 beagle dogs were used. Extractions all mandibular premolars performed and 3 months later. fixtures Branemark System® installed in each side. Following healing, abutment connection carried out. On right or left side mandible, according manual - (control side). contralateral (test side), an incision not extending through periosteum made crest ridge. soft tissue dissected a critical amount connective on inside flap excised. subsequently incised, performed, trimmed flaps sutured. sutures removed after 10 days. After 6-month period plaque control, animals sacrificed, biopsies sampled processed for light microscopy. length junctional epithelium varied within rather narrow-range: 2.1 mm side) 2.0 height suprabony this model between 1.3±0.3 1.8±0.4 At where mucosa prior thin (≤2 mm), wound healing consistently included bone resorption. This implies that certain minimum periimplant may be required, resorption take place allow stable form.
