摘要: A mass of free myxozoan spores was found in the gill filaments specimens Cetopsorhamdia iheringi Schubart and Gomes, 1959, popularly known as “three-barbeled catfishes” (Heptapteridae, Siluriformes) collected streams Middle Paranapanema River, Upper Parana River basin, state Sao Paulo, Brazil. Morphological molecular analysis identified Myxobolus imparfinis Vieira, Tagliavini, Abdallah Azevedo, 2018. The ultrastructural morphology this parasite is described here for first time. Differences were observed number coils polar filament well some organelles not previously species. Asynchronous development also observed, with presence both mature immature spores. This report a parasitizing C. geographical record parasites River. new data improve original description species add to knowledge host-parasite interactions distribution.
