摘要: Objectives: To determine the efficacy of craniofacial resection and proton radiation for management esthesioneuroblastoma (ENB). Design: A retrospective chart review was performed all patients presenting with ENB completely managed at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Eye Ear Infirmary (MEEI) from 1997 to 2006. Setting: tertiary referral center. Main Outcome Measures: Disease-free overall survival. Participants: All MGH MEEI Results: Ten were identified a median follow-up time 52.8 months. Average age presentation 45 years. Nasal obstruction most common symptom. Three presented Kadish stage B disease seven C. No patient had evidence cervical or metastatic presentation. Seven treated resections (CFR) followed by beam without chemotherapy. initial chemotherapy no response. They subsequently underwent CFR radiation. The 5-year disease-free survival rates 90% 85.7%, respectively, Kaplan-Meier analysis. suffered any severe toxicity. Conclusion: can be safely effectively irradiation. Proton irradiation may associated less toxicity than photon role remains unclear.
