摘要: Abstract Centrifugation techniques are frequently used to separate bacteria from the culture broth in pharmaceutical industries. Alternatively, cell separation can be performed through tangential microfiltration systems; an arguably cost-effective alternative centrifugation. Therefore, replacement of centrifugation steps with represents attractive option order decrease production costs. An example such use found vaccine against Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), which relies on a step pathogenic antigen-rich (exopolysaccharide) released into broth. The substitution operation may costs and increase availability low-income regions. Hence, we studied impact diverse systems at different scales Hib its recovery exopolysaccharide - polyribosylribitol phosphate (PRP), antigen employed vaccine, produced by present was as read-out for process efficiency. In sum, Hydrophilic Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) membranes resulted highest value among tested materials; moreover, transmembrane pressure paramount factor determining level. We concluded that feasible
