摘要: To ascertain the rate of discontinuation after vaginal pessary use among pelvic organ prolapse patients. We enrolled women suffering from who opted to as first line treatment and were fitted with a at urogynecological clinic in Khon Kaen University’s Srinagarind Hospital (Thailand) during period between 2010 2016. Patients’ medical records retrospectively reviewed. Patients contacted by telephone if there missing data or more information was required. One hundred forty included. The median age 71.5 years (interquartile = 65.0, 77.0) normal parity 4.0 (interquartile =3.0, 6.0). mean ± SD BMI 23.5± 3.6 kg/m2. Most study (97.9%) postmenopausal many an advanced stage (73.6%). Support pessaries most common (95.0%). 1 year 16.1%. reason for discontinuing frequent expulsion (26.3%). Abnormal discharge adverse effect insertion (17.1%). Lower history hysterectomy significant risk factors (0.76 [95%CI 0.62–0.93] 15.89 1.67–151.02] respectively). case low 1 year. side effect. significantly associated discontinuation.
