Migration of a Hodge pessary into the abdominal cavity; a rare complications.

摘要: A 62-year old para 4 with a history of radical hysterectomy followed by radiotherapy for endometrial carcinoma was seen shortly after insertion pessary total vault prolapse. On follow-up the couldn't be retrieved. An abdominal X-ray revealed in cavity and it had to removed means laparotomy. Fistula defects have been reported both longstanding use as long-term complication surgery radiotherapy. In view potential - though rare serious complications, adequate is therefore mandatory. Adequate diagnostic investigations are essential deciding on an appropriate approach cases like these.
