摘要: The chloroplast genome of the highly neutral-lipid-producing marine pennate diatom Fistulifera sp. strain JPCC DA0580 was fully sequenced using high-throughput pyrosequencing. general features and gene content were compared with three other complete genomes. is 134,918 bp an inverted repeat 13,330 slightly larger than genomes due to several low gene-density regions lacking similarity Protein-coding genes nearly identical those from Phaeodactylum tricornutum. On hand, we found unique sequence variations in photosystem II which differ consensus chloroplasts. Furthermore, five functional unknown ORFs a putative serine recombinase gene, serC2, are located regions. SerC2 also identified plasmids another diatom, Cylindrotheca fusiformis, plastid endosymbiont Kryptoperidinium foliaceum. Exogenous might have been incorporated into by lateral transfer. Chloroplast sequencing analysis this novel provides many important insights evolution.
