摘要: Summary Fistulifera sp. strain JPCC DA0580, a marine pennate diatom, contains extremely high levels of intracellular triglyceride and has been suggested as promising source feedstock for biodiesel fuels. DA0580 was isolated from mangrove swamp located in Sumiyo Bay below the mouths Yakugachi Rivers Amami-Ohshima, Kagoshima, Japan. In this study, morphology 18S rDNA sequence were compared with those other Fistulifera strains. possesses morphological characters genus Fistulifera, namely lightly silicified frustules, distinct median costa (raphe sternum), wart-like central pore (fistula). Morphometric analysis revealed that differs species by presence valve coarser striation areolation. On basis phylogeny, formed well-supported clade members complex, although number nucleotide substitutions highest DA0580. Our results led us to propose taxonomic name solaris nov.
