摘要: Overbased detergents and ZnDTPs form insulating boundary lubrication films. Electrical contact resistance (ECR) is therefore a convenient method of monitoring film changes in sliding contact. Separately, overbased rapidly In combination, however, films may slowly and, furthermore, be less stable than formed by the individual additives. Examples formation ZnDTP-detergent combinations are described. ECR provides no information on chemistry. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) has been used to help identify some Inferences as chemistry can drawn cases.
